Agreement

By using Result Spinner you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. That is the whole of the formality.

What you are allowed to do

You can use this wheel for anything legal, at no cost, without asking permission. That includes:

• Personal use, games, and deciding what to have for dinner.
• Classroom use, including on a projector in front of students.
• Commercial use, including giveaways, raffles, prize draws, live streams, and recorded video.
• Showing the wheel on stream or on camera without crediting us.

There is no licence key, no seat count, and no separate commercial tier. If you are wondering whether your use is allowed, it almost certainly is.

What you may not do

• Use the site to run anything unlawful where you are, including gambling that requires a licence you do not hold.
• Present a draw as fair when you have edited the entry list, the weights, or the result after the fact.
• Copy the site wholesale and pass it off as your own, or strip the code out to republish it as a competing product.
• Attempt to attack, overload, or break the site for other people.

Draws, prizes, and legal responsibility

If you run a giveaway, raffle, competition, or prize draw using this tool, that promotion is yours. You are responsible for its rules, its terms, its tax treatment, and for complying with the promotions and lottery law that applies where you and your entrants are. We are a random number generator with a nice animation. We are not the promoter, and we are not a party to your promotion.

About the fairness receipt

The commit and reveal receipt proves one specific, narrow thing: that the seed used to pick a winner was fixed before the wheel started moving, and that the published result follows from that seed and that entry list. It does not prove the entry list was complete, that it was honest, or that nobody was left off it. Anyone verifying a draw should understand that distinction.

Availability

The site is served as static files, which makes it about as reliable as web hosting gets, but we do not promise uptime. Pages can go down, hosts have outages, and features can change or be removed. Do not build anything that must not fail on top of a free tool, ours included.

Your data

Your entries and saved lists live in your browser, not on our servers. We cannot back them up and we cannot restore them. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose. The Export CSV button exists for exactly this. Details are in the privacy policy.

No warranty

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including lost lists, disputed draws, or promotions that went wrong. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

Changes

These terms can change. The date at the top of the page shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
